During the HR Technology Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, I had a chance to walk the exhibit floor to get some product demonstrations. Here is what I learned about Globoforce:

The Rewards & Recognition category has been around for quite a while, but has had a resurgence of late with all of the focus on social and collaboration.

Globoforce is a platform that enables peer to peer as well as manager to subordinate award nominations. It is a global platform with multiple languages and will also convert award amounts into the equivalent in other currencies.

During the demo they showed me how they have built social into the platform so that peers can give spontaneous recognition through virtual pats on the back, and you can also analyze who is receiving rewards and why. The dashboard has full workflow for determining award amounts and gaining approvals.

The most impressive thing to me was the fact that they have 25 million award options in the network. That's 25 million.
