Wildfire by Smashfly
Last week I spent some time on a WebEx with Michael Hennessy the founder of Smashfly to get an overview of their Wildfire product. When Smashfly first came to market, I knew them as a new Job Posting distribution vehicle, but they have grown into much more.
They are positioning themselves as a Recruitment Marketing Platform, a whole new category (blog post on this soon) that encompasses job posting distribution, employment branding, search engine optimization (SEO), and candidate relationship management (CRM).
We have been watching this category take shape over the last few years, and I think industry veteran Michael Hennessy is right on target.
The one thing that stood out in the demonstration was the patent pending technology that allows for seamless integration with any applicant tracking system.
Literally with no development or technical work at all, while you are in the ATS all you have to do is select a requisition and click a bookmark in your web browser to launch a media campaign in Wildfire. It brings in all the data from your requisition and allows you to embed the URL back to the posting. This is making the Job Board Aggregator category obsolete.
